Some Natural Ways of Removing Tartar from Teeth 

Tartar can be removed naturally by:

Using Baking soda:

Mix a tablespoonful of baking soda with half a teaspoon of salt. Slightly wet the toothbrush in warm water and then dip it into the mixture. Brush your teeth with the mixture and rinse off. Do this regularly 

Using Hydrogen peroxide:

Mix a 4 tablespoonful of hydrogen peroxide half a cup of tepid water, sip a mouthful and let it remain for a minute, spit and rinse with half cup of cool water. Do this regularly 

Using Electronic toothbrushes:

Many scientific studies have proven that electronic brushes do a better job at removing Tartar and plague from teeth than manual ones. 

Using Antiseptic mouthwash:

Using an antiseptic mouthwash is also effective in removing Tartar from teeth. Wash your mouth with a tablespoonful of it with half a cup of water every day after meals. 

Using Dental Picks:

Scraping off Tartar with a dental pick should be done with extensive care so as to avoid scraping the gums as well, which leads to infections from the injuries sustained. 

Using a mixture of Aloe Vera gel and glycerin scrub:

Add half a cup of baking soda, a teaspoon of aloe Vera gel, and 10 drops of lemon oil and 4 teaspoons of vegetable glycerin to a cup of water. Mix thoroughly and store the liquid in an appropriate container. Brush your teeth daily with the mixture.

Using Tartar control toothpastes:

Tartar control toothpastes are very effective in removing Tartar as they contain a special mixture of ingredients made for combating already formed Tartar and preventing further Tartar buildup.

Using Activated charcoal:

Activated charcoal is a natural way of removing tartar. You can either (a)Buy a charcoal toothpaste or (b) Make a toothpaste yourself by mixing one-third of a cup of charcoal powder, two-thirds of a cup of raw, organic, unrefined coconut oil, three drops of peppermint essential oil (food grade) together to form a paste and using it to brush.                                        

Using orange peels:

Applying orange peels to surfaces affected by tartar in the mouth is an effective way of preventing further Tartar formation. It also helps in whitening the teeth.

Oil pulling:

This is an age-old natural way of removing Tartar from teeth. It involves swishing sesame oil or sunflower oil in the mouth for about twenty minutes and then spitting it out.
